Krista Austin, Ph.D; C.S.C.S.
Head Coach
 A former collegiate tennis player, Krista Austin is an exercise physiologist and nutritionist, and is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a strength and conditioning specialist. She was previously a performance nutritionist with the English Institute of Sport and most recently served as a physiologist with the United States Olympic Committee. She currently owns Performance & Nutrition Coaching, LLC which provides physiological testing, nutrition and coaching education to professional and amateur athletes, as well as, Olympic national teams, that include USA Track & Field, USA Taekwondo, USA Wrestling and USA Triathlon. Recently, she finished co-authoring a book with Bob Seebohar, “Nutrient Timing: The Scientific Approach”, which will be available from Human Kinetics in July 2010.
Krista’s background includes a Doctorate of Philosophy in Movement Science from Florida State University where she focused her research efforts on environmental exercise physiology and sport nutrition. She has received grant funding from NASA, the American College of Sports Medicine and the Gatorade Sport Science Institute, as well as, support from companies such as Hypoxico Training Systems and Hutchinson Technology. During her time at Florida State she served as the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism. She also holds a Masters from San Diego State University in exercise physiology and an undergraduate degree in physical education from Point Loma Nazarene University.
Krista also serves as an adjunct professor at San Diego State University and University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and as a research associate with the International Center for East African Running Studies. She is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine, a founding board member for Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport and serves as a referee for multiple scientific journals.
As the Head Coach of the Infinite Running training program, Krista will be responsible for developing and overseeing the program. Krista will also direct the continuing education program for all Infinite Running mentors and coaches.
